Halfway´s merchant community serves the 350 residents of the town as well as the ranching and farming community of Pine Valley.  An interesting fact, during the dot.com boom of the 90´s, Halfway changed its name to Half.com ? this change did not set up roots and now-a-days the town is still known as Halfway.
